[Cask at GBBF 2004] An orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of oranges - and so is the flavor, while the end is dry.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask Conditioned at Banbury Beer Festival '04. Pale golden wheaty colour with bubbly white head. Being gravity poured we get the full kick of Sean Franklins obsession with hops, and this doesn't dissapoint. Stronger than most of his brews this is aromatic, tangy and refreshing although somewhat smoother than the lower ABV's. Long and fruity finish to the beer, if you find it in a pub, ask them to take off the sparklers at the least.

Cask at The Dean Swift, London. Pours clear gold with a small, white foam. Biscuity bread aroma, light toast. Medium sweet flavor, toasty biscuits, light straw, fine grass and hints of toasted sugar. Medium bodied with fine, soft carbonation. Sweet, faintly sticky finish, lightly toasted bread, some hay. Very easy, decent beer.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Tap and Spile York. A golden coloured ale with lots of orange fruit flavours. Notes of oranges, mandarins and peaches. Very tasty and in good form. Roosters beers are common in York and always in very good form IMO.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Golden with a loose head of white foam. Aromas are mild lemon and dry hops. Flavours are fruity dry and very average - as is the beer as a whole.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask (gravity dispense) at the Four Chestnuts Beer Festival, Chichester. Not dissimilar to the Bazens Blue Bullet that I tried just before. Pale gold colour. Grassy hop aroma. Lots of grapefruit and tropical fruit in the flavour. Finishes slightly sweet. Smooth mouthfeel. An easy drinker.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A Mes rate: Cask at The White Horse.
Very slightly hazy gold with a thin white head. Mellow hop aroma with some slight citrus. A little bland but nice enough. Flavour is pretty much as the nose with a little tobacco. What it lacks in flavour it makes up by just being nice. Floral and bitter finish. Very downable, a real quaffing beer.
