Bottle from Corks of Cotham. Deep gold in colour with a short-lived white head and moderate carbonation. tropical fruit aroma of grapefruit and pineapple with a suggestion of pine. Flavour had more fruit, solid, biscuity malts, leading to a dryish, slightly peppery finish. Enjoyable.

DruncanVeasey (6116) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - APR 9, 2013
Bottle from AP Harvey Wines, Coventry. Brilliant, soft-fizzing lager gold with a fine bleached foam. Beautiful, perfumed hop aroma suggesting pineapple, blackcurrant, celery, pink grapefruit, passion fruit and biscuits dunked in stewed Darjeeling. Soapy, floral, stewed tropical flavour hinting at lime zest, curry leaf, perfumed tropical fruit (passion fruit, mango) and celery. Concludes with a well-judged grapefruit bitterness and Darjeeling-dunked custard cream/monkey nut aftertaste. Top drawer, proper (US) IPA hop character at modest strength without any soggy crystal malt distractions- just a bagful of English biscuits. Russian River standard. Always knew Roosters had it in ’em.

dantheman278 (1320) - SCOTLAND - APR 1, 2013
Bottle at home with James and JP. Clear pale golden orange, thin white head. Thick juicy pineapple and a touch of grapefruit on the nose. Soft, juicy fruit flavours, quite dry biscuity malts and a touch of sherbet on a long dry slightly bitter finish. Refreshing spritzy carbonation. Lovely palate-cleanser in between a lot of big dark beers this evening!

Bottle Rehills Ncl. Apricot, peach, melon and jammy aromas & flavours, this blows me away. Absolutely sparkling gold colour, dry on the tongue but then all those sweet fruit flavours come flying back in, in the finish. The mouthfeel is tremendous & while its more a pale ale than an IPA, I think, this continues the fantastic Roosters legacy that I’ve loved since the early mid 90s. Fantastic and totally worthy of a full house rating.

johninmelb (1006) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 21, 2013
Bottle from Corks of Cotham. Subtle nose with some citrus from the hop - a hint of orange peel and some melon - but more golden aley than IPAey. Pours a pale copper with a quickly disappearing head. The flavour adds from the nose with a little more mango and papaya coming through but again, it’s quite subtle. The finish is dry and bitter with some pine notes and some underpinning sweetness. Not bad, but if they want to position a beer in the current IPA market this aint it. Throw in a big old handful more of the Citra and we might be talking ...

Pours clear golden brown with a smal. head. Citra hops in the nose, the main aroma is the hops with bready & biscuity malts. Quite sweet overall, light bitter finish and aftertaste.
