Bottle from Corks of Cotham. Deep gold in colour with a short-lived white head and moderate carbonation. tropical fruit aroma of grapefruit and pineapple with a suggestion of pine. Flavour had more fruit, solid, biscuity malts, leading to a dryish, slightly peppery finish. Enjoyable.

Pours clear pale golden color with a medium sized white head. Hoppy aroma, mandarin, some caramel notes and faint malts. Orange on the flavor, mild resinous hops and some gooseberries. Refreshing, bitter.

Quite a mild but well rounded aroma but a massive hit of taste. A little cloudy. Golden amber colour. A little aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Golden and clear. Lovely hoppy flavour which is very powerful but doesn’t take over completely. There is also a slight bitterness that results in a gentle bitter aftertaste. A very pleasant beer although I would describe it as an IPA rather than a golden ale.

This really is a fantastic little beer, very hoppy standard American Pale ale, I had there Yankee Beer the other day, this is a bit hoppier than the Yankee, which I love, full of flavour light hints of Citrus, gorgeous Blonde Colour

Cask at The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) A deep golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of citrus grapefruit, peach, pear, some caramel and slight pine. Taste of citrusy and dry grapefruit, peach, pear, herbal hops, caramel and some spiciness. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A soft peppery hop bitterness in the finish. A really good golden ale.

Can from Fyne Wines, Argyll. Bright gold with some bubbles and a small head; Soft woody-oily aroma with notes of soft leather and lemon zest; Medium bodied with good spritz; Cereal flavours on palate, cornflakes and soft cinnamon, bitter grapefruit on finish. Not sure what to make of this beer: A bitter Pale Ale or a baby IPA??? A beer to sit on the fence with...
