The Baron. Brilliant orange-gold with a fine, slim collar. Aroma slight cattiness and feta; orange and lime zest, lychee, celery like 3 week old Citra. Good spike of zesty breakfast juice and floral hop over a light biscuit base. Soft, low carbonation. Uncomplicated, juicy refreshment and a late contender for the medals.

Light amber, clear, good dense white head, good lacing
Aroma - sweet fruity pale malts, citrus hops, grapefruit, soft hop resins

Palate - medium body, good texture, not cloying, fresh mouthfeel. Tangy citrus medium bitter palate. Finish - nice bitter hops, soft grapefruit, fairly bitter linger, cleans off palate
Overall - Good flavoured pale ale, great condition here.

Cask @ JDW, Victoria Station. The pour’s medium gold with a small head. The nose is light apricot, some lemon peel, a bit of grapefruit and coniferous tree. The taste is more light, summery citrus fruits. Earthy, grass hops. A bit of brash shrubbery. Medium bitter hoppy finish. Smooth, quite flavorful. Overall, a pretty decent golden! Nice work. One of the better festival beers I’ve had so far.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 leaparsons (7078) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 2, 2012
Cask, Highcross, Leicester. Amber gold with an off white head. Aromas are woody and herbal with lemon and orange peel. Lots of resinous, pithy peel, actually with trace strawberry and melon. Flavours are crisp lemon with bitter grapefruit and pithy citrus peel. Low biscuit malts with a green spruce finish. Nice and hoppy.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2012 Cask at Shakespeare Head Spoons. Very drinkable golden ale. Good mouthfeel good condition good hops. Just a little watery on the finish. Could be bitterer. Re rate yes mouthfeel still best thing about it. Bit perfumed just needs a bitterer finish. i want to like it more than i do due to the mouthfeel and condition
