Pub (4123), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Jun 27, 2003 Cask Conditioned at Blind Jacks, Knaresborough. Golden Bitter with great white head. This is american hops at their absolute perfection, beautifully balanced with pale malts it is peachy, orange but only at the hint level. Winner of the Banbury beer of the Festival award in 2002 and deservedly so. I want more
chris_o (4409), London, Greater London, England Mar 1, 2007 Cask (gravity dispense) at the Bricklayers Arms Yorkshire Beer Festival, Putney, London. Follows the usual Roosters pale and aromatic blueprint. Perhaps tends more towards old gold in colour. Flowery, fragrant aroma, with some spicy notes. A little reminiscent of a Gewurztraminer wine. There’s a rather surprising dry malt base on the palate. Tart apple fruit and spicy citric hop completes the mix. Clean and crisp. Rather drier on the finish than many Roosters beers. The mouthfeel is characteristically light. Pretty much on a par with the Roosters YPA I had just before.
jehoey (723), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 30, 2006 pint pulled at maltings: aroma was fruity with some citrus. pulled a nice blond color with typical white head. flavor was tangy with citrus and some ceral type malt. medium palate. very refreshing DJMonarch (4091), Northwich, Cheshire, England Feb 20, 2006 Cask Stillage at the Town Hall, Stockport 30/05/2002
Clear golden coloured with some liquorice aroma. Pleasant hop finish. Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 28, 2005 [Cask at GBBF 2005] An orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet flowery, while the flavor is sweet and lightly fruity with notes of pineapple and oranges standing out, leading to a dry hoppy bitter end. The body is thin. harrisoni (5359), Ashford, Kent, England Jul 14, 2005 Cask at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford
Pale gold beer with great hoppiness and citrus flavours. Typical Roosters American hop nose with a good kick of rich citric lemon/grapefruit fruit. I really like this beer probably even more so than the Yankee
