COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dark beer with a hint of coffee in the finish, brewed using a blend of four malts and English hops. Londinium is a nod to the beers of yesteryear and, in particular, the style made popular by the street and river porters in London in the eighteenth century.

Dark brown. Thin head. Chocolate covered coffee beans. That’s it. Has good balance and a light body.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.5%. Black colour (well, strictly speaking very dark ruby), moderate beige head. Pleasant aroma of dark chocolate and mild coffee, hints of wood and liquorice too. Smooth and pleasant flavour, dark malts with notes of mild coffee and chocolate again, but not very sweet. Decent hops in the finish. A very respectable "London Porter" from Yorkshire. Should not be drunk too cold.

Cask at the York Tap. Pours clear dark brown with a thin tan head & lacing. Good roasted coffee and dark chocolate aromas. Taste has a roasty, toasty bitterness. Clean finish. Lovely.

Coffee grind aroma. Deep red (cola) color, no head to speak of. The coffee is not sophisticated enough, this is like drinking the cold coffee from last night.

Dark beer, head doesn’t last too well. Plenty of coffee evident with some espresso bitterness. Enjoyable roasted malt but let down by a palate that felt a bit thin.

Cask handpull at Cask Pub & Kitchen Pimlico. Black beer disappearing tan head. I was expecting in your face coffee but this is relatively subtle. Coffee is there true. Actually it’s almost perfect for me. Love the coffee but there’s a berry flavour to it too. Good to excellent.

(Bottle): Pours almost black with a small tan head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, heavily roasted malt, smokiness. Initially a mix of coffee and chocolate in the taste with an undertone of roasted malt, burnt toast, smoke. Really tasty and drinkable.

Cask @ White Hart, Todmorden. Extremely dark with a creamy head. Has a smooth tasting character with a light roasted nose but the coffee flavour is not overstated but quick and pleasant in the palate.

Dark with a small beige head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, roasted grains. Medium bodied, slightly oily mouthfeel, bittersweet to start with a roasty astringency on the finish. Taste is chocolate, coffee, hint of vanilla and dates.
