COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dark beer with a hint of coffee in the finish, brewed using a blend of four malts and English hops. Londinium is a nod to the beers of yesteryear and, in particular, the style made popular by the street and river porters in London in the eighteenth century.

500ml bottle (Birofilia2014, Zywiec) (8-:4:7+:4:15=3.8)
Lovely roasted coffee and malts in the aroma, very well integrated if it is doped, and brilliantly engineered if it is just malts. Ditto the taste - refreshing even though it’s very full and roasty. Some milkiness too. Black, small tan head. Really good stuff.

Cask at Cask PK. Black (or very dark ruby), tiny off-white head. Aroma - malty, burnt coffee bean, ash. Body is medium to light, low carbonation, a little foamy. Taste is difficult to pin down. Some sips were nice - rounded, musty ash, sweet coffee with a tangy astringent finish. Other sips were like eating some lemon that had been left too close to the garlic in the fridge. Overall, drinkable, a touch watery.

500ml bottle. Very dark brown color. Tiny to almost no head. Roast, spicy, alcohol in aroma. Weak aroma. Milky, roast, malts, slightly sweet taste. Soft carbonation. Sourish mouthfeel. Bit thin, but still drinkable.

Black pour with a single finger head. Slight espresso color with a coffee aroma. Slightly fruity. Taste is full of rich coffee. A little roasty. Chocolate creeps in as well. Balanced finish. Mouth is nice and light. Getting this on cask is a treat.

Cask at CBC Covent Garden. Pours a dark reddy brown. Aroma is toffee, plum, cherry medicine. Medium body, mild carbonation. Light treacle, light choc, a little lemon, cherry, dark fruit, lightly sticky. It's OK, a little metallic on the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Booth’s, Ripon. Black with a quite quickly fading tan head. Very good roast malt flavours with lots of chocolate. Really good.

Bottle. Pours a deep mahogany with a thin tan head with no retention. Nose is hops, citrus, green apple, coffee, spice, oak wood, red fruit, alcohol, black malt, roast, blackcurrant, hint of blue cheese. Reasonable bitterness. Dry finish. Soft mouthfeel. Gentle carbonation. Horrible saltiness. Not great considering its strength, style and expectations. Stick to the golden ales Roosters!

Appearance: Dark brown with ruby highlights and a 2 finger thick beige head. Aroma: Coffee, caramel/toffee, vanilla, umami. Taste: Medium bitterness and sourness, with low/medium sweetness. Palate: Thick smooth texture, light body, average carbonation, abrupt dry, bitter sweet coffee, caramel finish with a hint of vanilla. Comments: Very tasty and glass lace.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.5%. Black colour (well, strictly speaking very dark ruby), moderate beige head. Pleasant aroma of dark chocolate and mild coffee, hints of wood and liquorice too. Smooth and pleasant flavour, dark malts with notes of mild coffee and chocolate again, but not very sweet. Decent hops in the finish. A very respectable "London Porter" from Yorkshire. Should not be drunk too cold.
