3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask @ The Golden Rule, Edinburgh
Golden clear, white head, good lacing
Aroma - soft grassy hops, soft cereal pale malts, slight gooseberry
Taste of soft grassy hops, touch of peanut shell which i’m not keen on, touch of citrus zest, light sweet pale malts
Palate - Light body, bit oily. Finish has that grassy hops and grassy peanut pod flavour, clean finish, not too bitter, slightly dry
Overall - OK- it’s well made but the flavour profile just wasn’t my cup of tea

Cask@Blue Stoops,Chesterfield. Highly aromatic smell and tastes similar. Clear gold with tight head that lasts quite well. Don,t think it,s quite as good as Yankee, but it gives it a good run for it,s money. This brewery turns out some pretty impressive beers which are distinctive and slightly different from the norm. Another one please, landlord.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at The Victoria, Birmingham. Typical looking pale ale. Perhaps served a little too cold so lacking flavour. However there is a decent bitter hit. Creamy mouthfeel. Small head but does the business in the lacing department. Refreshing and good but not spectacular.
