Cask at Beacons Festival, Skipton. An ok session beer with some fruity bitterness & citrus hops but everything in very mild doses. Like all the beers at this festival was a bit flat, so would have to try in a proper pub to really appreciate.

stravale (2315) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - AUG 6, 2013
Cask @ Golden Rule, Edinburgh [020813]
Golden, dense white head, some lacing
Aroma - Very soft fruity sweet malt, light citrus hops, light nose
Taste of soft fruity malts, soft citrus, touch of lemon, light fruits, soft lemon, a bit dull
Palate - Medium body, fairly oily, light sweet palate. Finish as main flavour, soft, cleans off palate
Overall - Easy going, ok, bit bland to be honest. Maybe the condition is not right here - worth a re-rate

Medium beige creamy head. Clear golden body. Light spicy strawy aroma with fruity wooden notes. Dry-sweet dusty wooden taste with strawy fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish dusty strawy freshly sawn wood aftertaste with floral dandelion notes. Really nice. Highly drinkable, yet has real character. (0.284l cask at The Blue Boar, York.)

Cask. Not your run of the mill pale beer. This is a fine brew from an interesting brewery. Taste is fruity but not overpowering. this stands head and shoulders above most pale bitters. Shame more pubs don,t stock this wonderful stuff.
