BillKismet (1356), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 29, 2008 This was just called Roots Organic Pale Ale at Brouwer’s in Seattle. The description on the website notes 4 additions of Amarillo hops, so I’m not sure if this is the same as the Pond Turtle Pale Ale. In any case, the brew was briskly carbonated and topped with a decent 1/2" creamed foam head. Medium-bronze body. Nice fresh hop medley, perhaps amarillo, and a similarly enjoyable falvor with malt maltiness. Raw hop finish with mild dry bitterness. A great APA. rkuhnel (980), Eureka, California, USA Mar 17, 2008 On tap. Hazy and light orange, with small white head and moderate lacing. Nose of light hops and malts. Light mouthfeel. Flavor of caramel malts and citrus hops, and a light bitter finish. Very refreshing and easy to drink. WeeHeavySD (1564), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Feb 8, 2008 4th Brewery 07-08 Brew Trip with Bikesandbeer. Listed as organic pale ale, guessing it was this and not nevermind. Pours orange with a bright white ring for a head. Nose has light hoppy character to it. Taste is nice and mellow with a good bite. Indiana_Red (1445), Boise, Idaho, USA Nov 21, 2007 On Tap ant the Brew Pub. Hazy orange. Citrusy hop aroma. Thin and wattery. Decent malt profile The hops flavor, though not big is tasty. Plenty of that wierd woody earthy flavor as welll Decent. BückDich (4497), Boise, Idaho, USA Nov 19, 2007 Tap @ brewpub: Orange/yellow, light head and lacing. Nose of starch and musk, a bit of vegetal hop and some sweet crispy malt and hop notes. The flavor is grassy, meh, too vegetal.
