1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
bought a 6-pack on sale for 6.99
this beer is just odd, I home-brew a lot and this was very disappointed for a craft beer. Caramel note is strong, odd aftertaste, metallic poss. , but more like plastic, foam head etc. all within reason, but deff. pass on this one.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, from Tesco Cleethorpes. Amber gold, thin but lasting white head and gentle condition. Muted aromas of sweet toffee, biscuity malt and floral honey, malty in the mouth with honey sweetness slightly tempered by a spicy bitterness and a faint toasted bread note, finish is briefly sweet and spicy.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Tesco, pale amber with not much head, sweet nose with hints of apple and malt, initially quite pleasant with malt and a delicate hoppiness, then getting sweeter and honeyed with earthier hops, before a somewhat sickly cloying finish.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle from Tesco, Enniskillen
Amber, clear, frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of soft honey, bit metallic
Taste of light honey, some metallic notes, light sweet pale malts, cardboard, corn, very little hop, very dull, tasteless for 5.5%, poor flavour
Palate - moderate carb, light body, touch oily, quite sweet. Not much of a finish, as main flavour
Overall - Very dull, bland, not ’craft beer’ at all, rubbish

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Rated on 8-13-2009 (Bottle) When poured, this beer forms a small fizzy white head with a short retention, transparent yellow-gold body, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing. The Aroma is some light caramel malt, corn, grain, and a very light hint of hops. The Taste is light caramel malt and corn. The Palate is smooth and this beer is light bodied. Overall, this beer is very bland tasting, lacks character and absolutely no WOW factor. This is a beer I do not recommend.

3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I see a lot of negative comments on here crime people. I assume they never brew. This is almost a perfect English ale. Very similar to Newcastle, Roscoe’s amber is sweet and euphoric. Although its malty foretaste is reminiscent of a 40 of old E, it still gives the satisfaction of a traditional English ale. Color is spot on and its alcohol content is just right. The light honey taste will have you salivating for more....for $4 a six pack at big lots, its the deal of the century. In my semi-professional opinion, a winner!
