Bottle from Tesco, pale amber with not much head, sweet nose with hints of apple and malt, initially quite pleasant with malt and a delicate hoppiness, then getting sweeter and honeyed with earthier hops, before a somewhat sickly cloying finish.

355ml bottle from Morrisons - Nice amber body, lasting white head. Bit of a syrupy texture, and a little bitterness. Not too bad....

Appearance: Clear amber with loose ivory head which was quick to disappear. Aroma: Biscuit, mead, floral and slight hay. Taste: Medium sweetness, low bitterness and low/medium sourness. Palate: Thin coarse texture, light body, prickly carbonation, abrupt mead like astringent biscuity finish. Comments: Tasty.

Bottle from Tesco, Enniskillen [23113]
Amber, clear, frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of soft honey, bit metallic
Taste of light honey, some metallic notes, light sweet pale malts, cardboard, corn, very little hop, very dull, tasteless for 5.5%, poor flavour
Palate - moderate carb, light body, touch oily, quite sweet. Not much of a finish, as main flavour
Overall - Very dull, bland, not ’craft beer’ at all, rubbish

hotstuff (3921) - Indiana, USA - NOV 10, 2013
Rated on 8-13-2009 (Bottle) When poured, this beer forms a small fizzy white head with a short retention, transparent yellow-gold body, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing. The Aroma is some light caramel malt, corn, grain, and a very light hint of hops. The Taste is light caramel malt and corn. The Palate is smooth and this beer is light bodied. Overall, this beer is very bland tasting, lacks character and absolutely no WOW factor. This is a beer I do not recommend.

I see a lot of negative comments on here crime people. I assume they never brew. This is almost a perfect English ale. Very similar to Newcastle, Roscoe’s amber is sweet and euphoric. Although its malty foretaste is reminiscent of a 40 of old E, it still gives the satisfaction of a traditional English ale. Color is spot on and its alcohol content is just right. The light honey taste will have you salivating for more....for $4 a six pack at big lots, its the deal of the century. In my semi-professional opinion, a winner!

Sweet caramel malt, but with a tartness that just seems a bit off. Finish tails off quickly. Pass on this one.

Dirty, slightly cloudy brown....very short off-white head. Caramel, honey aroma. Taste is bready sweet....honey, toffee. Caramel malt...fruit syrup. Sweetness overpowers anything else this beer may have.... Not good.

if you are a honey fan, by all means check this out. otherwise, avoid. WAY too sweet, like sugar-y burn sweet. no hops to balance it out, a little thin malt backbone. my teeth hurt.
