3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from the Safeway in Leesburg. It pours a nice amber color with a small white head. The nose is light with a touch of bread and caramel. The flavor is on the sweet side with some malt, bread, and honey notes. Not really anything in the way of balancing bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a sweet finish. Not remarkable in any way.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
12oz bottle. Pours golden amber with a nice white head that disappears too fast and leaves almost no lacing. Not much aroma but what there is, is bread. Faint taste of caramel, grass, alkaline with soft carbonation and a sticky sweet lingering finish. Not so hot.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. The wife picked this up at our local grocer(it was on sale). Pours a very light copper/amber with very slight head. In fact, "very slight" defines this beer. Very slight malt and fruit aroma. Taste is a bit too sweet, with very light fruit esters. Crisp, but sweet finish.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
The main fault with this beer is that is too sweet, not in a malty way but taste too syrupy. Very little hops if any.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Copper and orange under a pithy bubbly head which fades into a collar with a small puddle hovering in the middle. Swirls average.
Generic wheat breads with faint generic sweetness in the middle. Peach pulp and applesauce. Dampness.
Chewy medium-light weight and mouthfeel. Damp generic chewy wheat breads – slightly sweet. Peach fuzz and peach pulp and apricots. Powdered sugar sweetness on top the tongue. Foamy. Applesauce and white bread and powdered sugar sweetness.
Meh. There are far better amber ales out there to drink. Period. Whether new to craft beer and looking to get your tastebuds wet or a veteran of the craft beer world, skip Roscoe’s and move on to something else better, Bells Amber maybe…and a slew of others.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma is sweet with a hint of bitterness, of malt, honey, and citrus hops. Taste is sweet and crisp, of malt, candied citrus, hops, and lots of honey. Lingering light sweetness. Not bad.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle… Clear light amber ale with a small, lightly tanned head. Restrained aroma of cereal grains and caramel. Light to medium-bodied and thin with easygoing carbonation. Overly-sweet, nearly nondescript flavor - although it does hint at caramel, toffee and apple. Short, sweet finish.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
The pour is a medium amber with lively carbonation and not much head. The aroma reminds me of adjuncts with a buttery grain note. The body is thin to medium. The taste also has a grainy character with a hint of honey. Nothing extraordinary here.
