Bottle from Tesco, Gateshead. An amber coloured beer with light burnt toffee and orange marmalade flavours with a slight soapy, tart finish.

Bottle from Tesco. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is rich resin hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a huge resin floral hop palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. I think they threw the hop bucket into this one, but unfortunately it contained all the wrong hops :-(

Bottle. Medium gold color with a medium head. Aroma is a weak grapefruit. Taste is also a weak grapefruit. Not one of the better IPAs.

bottle. Deep golden with small head. Mild malt base and moderate hops. Hops seem dull. It was cheap, and tastes cheap as well.

355ml bottle from Tesco’s, Camberley. Golden amber with a loose white head anf light carbonation; citrusy aroma; soft toffee taste with some sweet grapefruit to follow; and a caramel biscuity finish with some zingy spice. I’ve tried quite a few east coast IPA’s in the past few weeks, and this one is definitely better than average.

rauchbier (3559) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JAN 3, 2014
Bottle, from Tesco Cleethorpes. Bright amber gold, tight fluffy and long lasting white head and good condition. Muted biscuit malt and caramel with a gentle citrus hop resin note in the nose, a little one dimensional in the mouth with a brief maltiness quickly dominated by a spicy hoppiness that becomes quite harshly bitter, finish is all hop bitterness with a dry chalkiness lingering

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 12/20
RSRIZZO (1847) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - DEC 18, 2013
12oz bottle (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 39°. Color is a deep golden with light carbonation and a thin head. Aroma is a sweet fruity hop scent. It has a light and crisp medium body. Flavor comes in with malt giving it mild caramel notes and a bit of fruit, this is back with spicy hops and white pepper. After taste is clean and dry with just a touch of the fruit still showing in the back. Overall its a very mellow and easy drinking IPA, just not a stand out that you’ll remember.
