bottle thanks to beerbill, pours gold white a tall white head. Aroma is strong with citrus hops and grassy malts. Flavor is sweet hay and cereals, ends crisp and clean with little else.

For something called Hop House, not very hoppy. Average Pale Ale. Not a lot of character at all, but very drinkable. Would easily replace something much lighter as a good hot day drink.

Pale red-orange with a large, frothy bright-white head that is partially diminishing, leaving marshmallow fluff lacing. Subdued grapefruits in the nose underneath black pepper spice and toffee. Moderately bitter and a little astringent flavor is heavy on the cardboard and wet paper. Lightly sour finish. Thanks to Narnad for another bottle.

10 karat pour with a small ivory head. Aroma is subtle with lemongrass and honey. Flavor is pretty boring...bitter hops accompanied by a small malt bill. Medium to light mouthfeel. Meh.

Not a big fan of this one. Something in the taste and finish was just a bit off to me, maybe a little metallic? It was just harsh, not smooth. Standard grapefruit hop aroma and flavor, just not quite right. Malt was there, didn’t stand out too much but had a bit of a caramel flavor to it. Overall, very disappointed.

12 oz bottle given to me by a friend. Pours a medium golden color - mine was a little cloudy, with a medium off-white head. Lacing was ok. Solid citrus aroma with a hint of toffee or coffee (but very faint). Medium body, with average carbonation. Tastes of citrus (more toward grapefruit) with slight banana and peach undertones with short duration. Not a complex beer, and pretty standard for the style.

Pours with a very tall off-white head, clean orange look and a tone of carbonation. Aroma has a sweet profile overall with notes of cascade hops, light orange and a sweet grainy, honey malt profile. Hops comes through first in the flavor adding a citrus note with mild orange and some light grassy notes later. Malt comes in later with some honey and grainy flavors adding a crisp and sweet finish. Body is light with a semi-fizzy texture and light dry finish. Overall not a bad brew as there really aren’t any off flavors or offensive ones. Hops profile is on target for a pale but is a bit on the heavy side as is the carbonation. A decent brew for summer time drinking.

Bottle. Pours a crystal clear copper color with a thin fizzy head. The aroma is a bit mashy. The beer drinks with a sour-tangy aspect, almost green-appley, and finishes with a musty funkiness you usually get in cheaper macro offerings. (#3952, 7/25/2010)

a LOT of head - with a 13-ounce glass, plan on only getting slightly more than half the bottle in, then it’s a 5-minute wait to get the rest in. Nice caramel malty taste with a pronounced hop flavor, followed by citrus and a slightly bitter yeasty finish.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2010 Shoot! I thout I had discovered a new beer and a new craft brewery, began entering it into RB and all that, but no - this is put out by Genessee, pretending to be a little "hop house" somewhere in Rochester. Ha! It loses a couple of points for this deception. Aroma of fruity hops and a touch of yeasty funk. Lite pour and a decent head. Roscoe’s is a pretty lite and mellow pale ale, with a bit of corn sugar noticeable in the flavor. I think this is probably a major ingredient in Genny Cream too. An average brew, but pretty good for the price.
