Drinks of the World, Bern flip top bottle: Pours pale with white head. Aroma is grainy. Taste is grainy and a bit bitter and grassy. Not a bad beer, but the new bottle design is more exciting than the beer.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2014 500ml bottle served in a Weizen glass. A: Pours a pale and absolutely clear yellow golden color forming a medium and persistent white, fluffy and bubbled head. Good retention and lots of lingering lacings formed and left in the glass. Lots of fizzy carbonation coming from the bottom of the glass too S: Strong sweet grains upfront. Strong notes of bread. Light notes of ashes. Good notes of flowery hops T: Slightly sweet pale malts upfront. Very crispy and bready. Good grassy hoppy notes. Smooth and quite pleasant hoppy bitterness M: Light and smooth body. Great carbonation. Very grainy and crispy aftertaste O: Excellent drinkability. Classic Euro Lager but with a lot of class. ChrisO’s Pre GBBF ’Are You Scottish?’ tasting. Almost clear paleish gold beer. Residual white head. Light palate, dry and a little crisp. Dry papery malt - sweet too! Touch of floralness and a whisper of hop citrus. Dry finish. Too much paper.

Bottle shared at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig ’13, 10/08/13. Clear pale golden with a thin off white head. Nose is pale malts, grass, light vegetal notes, peas, cereal. Taste follows, fairly basic affair, grass, citrus, light caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp finish. So so.

Bottle at Chris O’s pre-GBBF shindig, 2013. Bright yellow pour with a white head. Lemon zest and coriander nose. Strange earthy taste, some fruit. Not my bag.
