Let this warm up a bit and you’ll taste all the nuances from the coffee, cinnamon, honey, chocolate, and black malts. Wonderful in the winter.

Bottle from Total Wine in Roseville. Nice chocolate flavor with definite cinnamon overtones. Easy on the palate. Would definitely drink again.

Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. This poured black with a tan head the faded quickly and left no lacing. The nose is of chocolate and some cherry like fruit. Light to medium body. Not what you would expect in a stout. The flavor showed only a hint of coffee and I could detect no cinnamon. The finish reminded me of a cherry cough drops. Sweet and cloying. Dave seemed to think this might have been infected and he might be right. Something seems really "off’ here.

Bomber from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Deep black with a fizzy short lived tan head. It ends up as a ring. A syrupy fruity aroma is also earthy. I taste grape jelly and that earth. A little cocoa. Is it supposed to taste like this? Somewhere underneath that is a little coffee. Just a little. This is not at all a coffee cinnamon flavored stout. Quality control issues? To be fair, it is not unpleasant to drink but it is far from what the brewer stated as his intent.

Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours dark brown with a thick tan head and a cinnamon and coffee aroma. There is a medium-bodied chocolate and dark molasses flavor with some cinnamon and a hint of coffee.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours very dark brown black with a creamy/foamy dark tan head. Aroma is chocolate with a little cinnamon. Enough spice to tingle my membranes. Med body or so. Flavor is cinnamon, coffee, rather harsh burnt malt, and not so much chocolate as expected. Definitely not cinnamon mocha. Definitely quite tasty tho. It’s finishing darkly, spicy towards dry. Cinnamon, moderate amount, to the end.

Bottled one week ago! ~Strong roasted barley aroma with chocolate and coffee notes. Earthy hops and possibly getting some cinnamon but very faint. ~Pours pitch black will small wispy brownish white head. ~Robust roasted malt flavor of coffee, chocolate and slightly burnt characteristics, Not overly burnt, well balanced. Its possible I detect cinnamon but its so faint its hard to tell. Possibly just adds to complexity. ~Full bodied, a bit chalky feeling, medium CO2, strong roasted lasting bitterness. ~Very glad they started bottling this. A very delicious stout indeed.
