Clear ruby, no head. Aroma of port, plums, dried fruits and various alcohols. Fruity and similar taste balanced with dark crystal malt. Flat.

Shared small bottle kindly provided yngwie. Clear mahogany body. No head. Concentrated raisins and prunes on a thick malty base fills the nose. Full bodied and syrupy. Flat. Malty flavor. Alco warmth that lasts.

Shared bottle at local tasting, thanks to Yngwie. Pours clear dark brown with no head at all. Vinous and malty aroma, sweet toffee. Taste is sweet, strong raisins and even some traces of liquorice lurking in the back, light dry, lingering herbal finish, paired with a light burning alcohol.

Dark red colour, disappearing head. Aroma has sweetish malt. Flavour is dryish with some harsh malt and has some alcohol. Rather typical aged barley wine.
