2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
22 oz bottle purchased at the brewery. Pours a near black color with a fading head. Nice toasty malt aroma. Toasty, nutty malt flavor, and quite nice. Almost a little towards the finish as well. Easy drinking dark lager, and a unique beer for me. Enjoyable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at the brewery
Dark brown color with compact head. Dry, roasty, a bit dusty, but also with a touch of chocolate. A bit too dry in the final, almost astringent.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The perfect transition beer from Winter to Spring. Poured from a bomber into a regular pint glass. Nice brown/dark amber in the glass with nice head retention. Plenty of roasted malts on the nose with a smidge of coffee plus faint hops. More roasted malts and coffee on the palate followed by a slight hop bitterness. Maybe I was just in the perfect mood but this was delicious.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a very dark brown color with a moderate off-white head on it. Nose is toasty and fairly bready. Taste is really quite toasty, but has a nice bit of crispness to it. Decent, but nothing special.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a deep brown with a frothy off white head that adds a little creamy texture to your early sips. It actually sticks around for a while. Flavor has some nice toasty grain aspects to it and a candi sugar sweetness that is pleasant. A step up from a straight lager to add a little more depth and complexity to your drink. Faint grass and herb aromas. Finish is much the same from that hop profile. Solid sessionable beer.
