Sampled @ Southampton Arms, London. Pale yellow color. Smell only sweetness and lightly pear, maybe slightly musty. Tastes really sweet, too sweet for me. Low carbonation, low body.

Polypin, Carlisle BF. Lovely clear pale yellow/straw colour. Sugary aroma hits the nose straight away, clean, smooth and sweet on the tongue, low to medium carbonation gives a pleasant tingle and a nice lasting finish. Very enjoyable.

From a plastic barrel. Very pale straw colored pour. The nose is a little bit spicy and a touch of cinnamon as well. Some clove and a bit of light soft pepper. There is bit of faint sweetness and some lingering spice. A little bit of light acetone-like fruitiness that kind of works in this context. Spicy cider but no actual spice. Bright pear flavour as well.

50cl Bottle. Courtesy of Fonefan. Pours clear see through yellow with bubbles on tap. Nose is sweet of farmyard, fruit and vanilla. An acidic touch in flavor. Very dry but also a bit thin. Ok

Light unclear light medium yellow (piss yellow) color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate pear, vanilla, butter notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a average to long duration, pear, butter notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. [20100427]

A Mes rate. Cask at the Southampton.
Hazy yellow. Bright and fruity slight sour funk, tart finish. Effortlessly drinkable. Jolly good perry.

From a polypin at the Orchard, Bristol 16/03/10. Hazy, pale yellow. dryish pear juice, with some tannins and barnyard character up front followed by a lemony, tart finish. Good.

Polycask at Banbury Beer Festival, Oxon, 07-05-09 Pours mid pale golden, there is a surprising slight sharp peary tang on the nose of this one. Really good perry and quite easily the dryest of the five that we had on offer. Started of with a nice tarty and tangy pear bite. The sweetness that was initially there soon faded and this soon turned out to be the nearest to a dryish perry that I’ve had, good stuff. A7 A4 F8 P4 Ov14 3.7

Bag in a box at Rare Breeds BF 08. Hazy pale gold/green. Nice perry. Cheesy perry, but really drinkable. Bit of sour sting. In terms of drinkability, it’s great. Dryness invites you to drink it again. Lovely bit of lemon, pear. Outstanding.
