Ernest (6257) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 16, 2013
Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), with notes of soap and DMS. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean. Light body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Well, that’s two strikes for Sauer...another dirty one here, some hop aroma being the only redeeming factor.

3fourths (8099) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 14, 2012
bottle, BBD March 2013
clear gold body with thick cascading carbonation and a rocky white head. mildly musty calcium / mineral note in the nose at first, showing more gravel and cement mix and sulfur as it breathes. softly minty green spiced hop grassiness with mild bubble gum touches. frothy and rich carbonation presents the toasty cereal pilsner malt body with quaffable roundness. light nutrisweet notes noticed late but for the most part it remains a true focus of zesty and prickly hop acids with the grains only becoming noticeably husky late. the acid washing and full carbonation along with some light floral gumminess make this one a true winner.

Test vom 22.1.2011, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,8,9,9,8,9 - 8,90

Golden color. Malty and herbal hops in the aroma. Maily malty flavor. Fairly low bitterness for a pils.

Bottle @ Uncle Chris’ house in Fürth. Clear yellow appearance with a big white head. Grainy straw/hay, malty, floral aroma. Fairly dry, pale grainy, pils malty, husky, herbal flavor. Not bad but nothing too special.

Bottle. Soft floral nose. Light body, low bitterness and metal, floral recess, but it’s a sharp and enjoyable hoppiness, even exciting. Soapy white head atop a yellow body.

Jonb5 (367) - Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 22, 2012
Poured a medium head, very pale colour, clear. Smelled of noble hops. Crisp taste with some bitterness, notes of straw and fruits. Lots of gas, overall ok, a bit better than the typical mass produced German pils but not outstanding.
