2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, pours a hazy light gold, a little grassy hop on the nose, a bit too gassy, golden malty body hidden under an assertive dry grapefruit bitter hoppiness. Like a Nordisch Pils with touches of Pale Ale, it’s drinkable and it won’t frighten the Pils crowd.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at brewery in Rossdorf am Forst. Pale gold colour and it’s ok, aroma is not great, but nice mouthfeel and a light beer. Some hop, not great but solid.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: MAY 13, 2013 Bottle.
Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is very light yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain, corn starch), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs), lightly yeasty (dough), with a note of lemon juice.
Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Bleh, not a fan of this at all. About as close to colorless as I’ve seen so far in a Franconian lager. Raw/starchy malt character and honestly the main aromatic is this acrid lemon juice thing...smells like it’s going to be really sour, but it’s only mildly tart. Just comes off as kind of dirty and aimless. Best before August, so freshness shouldn’t be the issue. Another dumper, unfortunately.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, best by March 2013, consumed in Nov. 2012: Luminous golden. Thick white halo of creamy consistency. Luxuriant perfumey hop aromas of flowers, pepper, lemon, and bright grassiness. Underlying pils malt starches and uncured hay. Light note of dough. Soft carbonation, wonderfully natural in feel. Exuberantly hoppy upfront, with a "green" and juicy zip and lemony twist. Trailing herbal spice is adorned with a clean, lush and snappy pils malt blanket. Sweet and haylike, as well. Ample starchy depth and textures envelop the palate and contrast nicely with the invigorating mineral and lemon interplay. Trace doughiness somewhat mars the brightness in the center, as it lends unnecessary weight. Though a dab of nectar somewhat compensates at it shyly emerges. Assertively peppery and lemon zesty hoppiness comprises the remarkably lean and dry finish, as a mint leaf sparkle highlights the gracefully supportive sweet hay and crackery pils malt. A hopcentric golden lager that calls to mind Spezial Ungespundet in all its lemony and herbal hop expressiveness. Perhaps a tad doughy, but I would happily quaff this all day long.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Swing-top by 6.8.12. Light yellow-golden body with a soapy bright white head. Nose sweet with slight, musty noble hops. Extremely soft light body with gentle malt and spicy hops. Alcoholic and floral tones. Simple but very, very easy to drink, would gladly have it again.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Half litre bottle poured into beer krug. Pale colour, cloudy with a medium thick head. Initial strong cork smell gave way to saaz and fruit. Tasted sweet, had a wheaty finish. Had a fairly smooth mouthfull with medium carbonationation. Overall a solid but uncomplex beer which works well on a hot day.
