Thanks to some buds for bringing this one over on a day of celebration. But good fuck, could we not have opened up with a less execrable beer? Drain cleaner via homebrew pils, in no way an IPA and in no way excusable.

Bottle pours a clear pale yellow/gold with a massive fluffy white head. Scent is floral. Taste is lemons and grass. Not good.

This opened with plenty of Pfft! but did not prepare me for the total head of white foam that this produced. Took ages to settle down into beer. Way over carbonated.
Pale yellow and very clear. Could be a Pilsner.
Itís taking a while to get some aroma to make itís way through the remnants of the head; it is reminiscent of how long it takes for detergent foam to fall.
Floral aroma that is very faint. Faint urinal cake.
The flavor is very lightly bitter, somne dryness and a touch of sourness; probably carbonic acid from the excessive carbonation. But all in all not much here.
Donít waste $4.99 on a 22 of this.

On tap at the 2012 Hickory Hops Brewfest, this pours a clear straw pale yellow with a fizzy head. Unfortunately, it doesnít look good from the start. The nose is earthy and piney. The flavors are all hops here (90 IBUs), with no malt substance backing. Bitter is one thing, but this honestly has the mouthfeel of a hop tea: thin and seltzery to the palate. Thereís just no body to it, and it feels all out of balance. I like the brewerís thoughts absolutely: Provide a low alcohol, session-appropriate IPA. Unfortunately, we miss out on all of the indicative "great" things that make an IPA an IPA. Sorry, this just misses the mark.

When poured into a sterilized glass it foamed excessively - highly carbonated - produced a foamy, pillowy white head. It took some time to actually pour a full glass and let the head settle down so I could try the beer. The beer color was very blonde, not what I was expecting for an IPA. Tasted citrusy (lemony/grapefruity), but acidic. Very bitter and dry finish. Body and flavor resembled a Belgian Wit (albeit hoppy) far more than an IPA.

22oz bomber poured into a standard pint glass. Straight from fridge - so 45-ish degrees. l got a hint of skunk when I popped the top. Iím pretty certain itís not bad, but it definitely has some unusual qualities for an IPA. Great big, foamy white head and looking through the glass I see crystal clear light amber - pilsnerish. The body is very light and tastes clean, but has a disinfectant quality. Hops smells great 1/2 way through the glass. Grapefruit and grated lemon peel sensations on the tongue. Iíve always said I like a hatefully hoppy beer, but this one may actually cross the line for me. Will try it again, maybe my mood is just not right.

There is a lot of citrus in the aroma here, but not what you want in an IPA. Pours freakishly light and with a ginormous head. The grapefruit notes are definitely there, though you get more of the harsher notes of the grapefruit without the good parts of the flavor.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Didnít realize this was their summer IPA and has quite a low ABV when I picked it up.
Was expecting a more hoppy aroma, this smelled very grainy to me, perhaps a little bit of citrus. Beer was a clear, golden straw color, and poured a nice head. Bubbles continued streaming up from the bottom for the entire drink.
Taste was just ok, very puckery on the tongue, as opposed to hoppy bitter. Almost like a pink grapefruit flavor that is way over done.

Gold pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is citrus hops and I guess h20. Low alcohol and it shows. No complexity, one dimensional and just not hoppy enough.
