A very malty, rich dunkel-like aroma. Very pale color. Flavor is a lot of malt at the beginning, but in a good controlled way and a fairly easy finish. Surprised I like this for how malty it is.

It’s warm golden with a creamy, white head and the aroma has notes of malt, light fruit and bread. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of malt, light straw, bread and fruit and the finish is dry.

Bottle: Deep golden, lively carbonation, smaller, lacy white head; strawy nose, combined with pale sweet malt; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; some bitterness increases towards the pale-malty finish. Well balanced, pleasant brew........

MoritzF (8493) - Bochum, GERMANY - JUN 1, 2008
(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a mid-sized, quickly diminishing frothy white head. Sweet and strawy pale malty nose with notes of biscuits and light traces of alcohol. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a medium carbonation. Pale malt-character with a whiff of cara-malt and bready, biscuity notes; medium-dry, sweet, a bit buttery pop-corn-like and slightly bitter finish with shy herbal hops. Well-drinkable, easy-going and a bit deceptive Märzen (26.05.08).
