Bottle sample at a tasting at the new Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Yoav. Pours cloudy light orange witrh a frothy white head. Banana, some peach, yeast, a little clove and bubblegum aroma, sweet and a little sour, but mainly sweet taste. Chewy texture, full body, fruity finish. Nice and enjoyable, lovely springtime beer.

Not much aroma. Fizzy. Fairly standard cloudy coloured wheat beer. Has the sweet flavour that most wheat beers have that I’m not wild about.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2013 50cl - I hate to say this, since their bland cardboard Tannenzäpfle has been the undiscerning bobo’s preferred Pils, hence omnipresent between Dönerbuden in Berlin and Weil am Rhein for the last 10 years, - but this Hefeweizen is a great, full and fruity brew packed with (albeit typical) flavours. Label states use of both Hopfenextract and Hopfen, barley and wheat malts. Lively foamy head sprinklng wih cirtus aroma. Taste is dominated by ripe but not oversweet banana, spice (mild clove, peppery yeast). Not as refreshing as unsurpassable Gutmann, but with a typical SW dry medium mouthfeel.

#110 Ansprechendes Äußere, hellgelb-trüb im Bämbel!! Lecker! Zitrus-Noten und Gewürznelke im Aroma...der Antrunk ist schön fruchtig-hefig, dazu noch würzig. Im Nachgeschmack nach mehr!! Top-Weissbier! Runde Sache, kein Zweifel! Test vom 11.1.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 15,12,12,12,13,12 - 12,35

Bottle secured by the Indian at some Geneva beer event. Quite bright and non-cloudy for the style, orange in colour, thin white head. Sweetish toffee aroma. Quite full flavour, toffee, apple, hint of spice, good yeastiness. Relatively sweet. Good stuff.

One of the better weizens (IMHO). Cloudy amber with a thick, fluffy head. Aroma is right on the money and flavor is too, although more wheat/bread than banana. Nice.

500 ml bottle. Pours cloudy amber with a high white head. Spicy fruity fruit smell. Full bodied wheat taste with fruity notes, a tiny tad sour. Wonderful! Slightly sour palate.
