COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wheat is an important and typical flavor carrier in this type of beer. As with all other beers we also work at Rothaus Hefeweizen with a slightly higher original gravity of 12.5%.

In addition to the fine hop bitterness (13 bitter units), Rothaus Hefeweizen is typical of the variety, with another important flavor component, the yeast. In Hefeweizen the yeast is not mixed, but a top-fermenting yeast is used. Unlike our other beers, it comes with unfiltered wheat beer bottling.

Ingredients: water, wheat malt, barley malt, hops, hop extract, yeast.

0.5L bottle. Pours coudy yellow-orange with a huge, frothy white head that lingers. Strong aromas on this one: Clove, resiny hops, cereal malt, bubblegum, mild suffer. Mild sweetness at beginning and middle with yeast notes, gives way to a long bitter and sweet linger, where herby and resiny hop character begin to dominate, leaving a tingling sensation on the tongue. Medium body with a creamy moutfheel and mild carbonation. Overall, not the standard hefe weizen. Really nice and complex aromas and a unique, resiny hop character make this one stand out.
