COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wheat is an important and typical flavor carrier in this type of beer. As with all other beers we also work at Rothaus Hefeweizen with a slightly higher original gravity of 12.5%.

In addition to the fine hop bitterness (13 bitter units), Rothaus Hefeweizen is typical of the variety, with another important flavor component, the yeast. In Hefeweizen the yeast is not mixed, but a top-fermenting yeast is used. Unlike our other beers, it comes with unfiltered wheat beer bottling.

Ingredients: water, wheat malt, barley malt, hops, hop extract, yeast.

Keg at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. Always available here, but I’ve never tried it before as there is usually something more interesting available on the handpumps. A bright straw pour with a ring of white head; grainy aroma with a slight sourness; smooth wheaty body with a satisfying weight, and a touch of banana and clove; then lightly bitter with some pleasant biscuity spice to finish.

A middle of the road hefeweizen. Can't seem to be able to discern one from the other aside from the rare Hefeweizen that stands out...this wasn't one of them ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mooie troebele kleur met een kleine schuimkraag. Smaak is echt superzacht. Zo hoort een hefeweizen te smaken. Mooie fruittonen en wat spice erdoor. Dit is een toppertje van Rothaus.

Orange, bernsteinige Farbe. Schöner weisser feinporiger Schaum.Riecht typisch nach Hefe. Im Mund fein mit guter Kohlensäure. Schmeckt etwas nach Orange. Leicht pfefferig. Bier ist gut.

500ml bottle at home. Great hefeweizen, well balanced. Pours a little orange and has a great wheaty, bitter taste.
