sleepylopes (281), New York, USA Mar 28, 2008 nice for a pils to have some backbone. at least when it comes to the hops, nice and bitter but very drinkable. about average in most metrics but a good beer none the less.
ptyoung33 (2), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA does not count Aug 8, 2008 This traditional German pilsner is excellently crafted. The light color and light white head reflect its fine and pure craftsmanship. The flavor is light yet well rounded. It’s a perfect backyard bbq beer, refreshing and delicious. Prost! foglemark (42), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 6, 2008 Moderate head, nice colour in the sunset as backdrop. Mild flavour with hints of fruit, typical pilsner taste, moderate bitter finish. sebletitje (258), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 29, 2008 Bottle.
Pours a light golden with thin white head.
Aroma is hoppy / wheat and light pine forest nose.
Taste is fizzy, grainy with some wheat / barley and malt. A little thick to the palate, lighty sugary.
There is this typical German metalic / pilsner taste.
I was looking forward to this beer being filled with pine and herbs, bit I was rather disappointed. Hansen (1663), Randers, Denmark Jul 26, 2008 Golden colour and clear. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Flavor is hoppy, fruit, chalck. Flavor starts heavy sweet and finish moderate bitter. Marsiblursi (1400), Göteborg, Sweden Jul 5, 2008 (Bottle) Pours yellow with a small white head. The aroma is light hop oily with tones of grass up front, but also some hints of flowers and herbs. Light buttery, malt undertones of bread, straw and hay. The nose is typical German-ish, clean and tight. The flavour is medium hoppy with tones of bitter grass and herbs. Some floral sweetness alongside malty tones of bread and straw. The mouthfeel is light to medium crisp, clean, tight, bit dry and light oily. Light sweet and near medium bitter. Medium bodied. Hoppy but fancy.
