One of the best german pils out there. When will they distribute this in the US?

Amazing retro label. Pours a nice pale yellow. Smells like it should be extremely hoppy in taste but the hops are quite mild. One of the better ones.

330ml bottle served in a waizen glass. A: Pours a very pale yellow color forming a big, creamy, soapy white head. Clear. Good retention and lots of lacings left S: Fresh sweet grains, Lager yeasts and flowery hops T: Sweet malts, Lager yeasts, flowery hops. A simple but very well done beer. Upfront is slightly sweet grains. In overall, a dry taste with a very pleasant bitter hoppy end M: Light body and good carbonation. Grainy and hoppy bitter aftertaste O: Very drinkable. Classic German Pilsener for an all day long session. Prost! [ BA Review @ 2/12/2010 ]

German pilsner with a lot of flavour for a pilsner. Hints of sekt; in the same street as Radeberger when it comes to taste but slightly sweeter. A perennial favourite in the pilsner segment.

Bottle at Golgotha Biergarten near Kreuzberg, Berlin. The most peculiar, out-of-character German Pilsner that I’ve tried yet...very hoppy in aroma, but subdued in flavor. The hops have an herbaceous character, but the flavor is much less bitter than I’d expect. This beer is also sour, a quality I normally dislike in beer, but I find the sourness is pleasant as it’s paired with a very nice maltiness. I really enjoyed this one; German beers tend to have such a narrow flavor profile, and this is the first one that was really outside-the-box, and in a way that I enjoyed. I could still use more bitterness though. This beer wasn’t quite as crisp tasting as I’d like.

Equally grainy and hop filled aroma. Looks like any pils. It is malty for a pils but finishes with a mineral-metal bitterness. Dry and sort of crunchy. Classic German Pils. This used to be a designated beer style, until RB decided it wasn’t.

Blonde pâle. Mousse blanche. Carbonation faible-moyenne. Arômes malt-orge, on sent la fermentation. Un légère amertume en début de bouche, puis ça tourne au sucré. Pas très persistent, mais je n’apprécie pas la fin de bouche.

Typical northern German Pilsener with a label originally dating from 1956, to celebrate the brewery’s 50th birthday. Snow white, medium thick, creamy head leaving nice lacing; pure golden blonde colour, very little sparkling. Malt sweetish aroma, grainy, peppery and flowery hops; neutral taste, medium to strong carbo, mineral-like, grainy sweetishness, ending in an assertive, long, dry, peppery hop bitterness which sticks for quite a long time, even for this substyle.
