Drank at the elephant Faversham on cask. Pours clear and golden with a finger-width of head. Pineapple on the nose - carries over to the taste. Balanced - very balanced with a strong malt backbone. Delicious, drinks like a 4.7% rather than a 5.7%. Not had a dud from Rother Valley yet. Excellent.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 24 Apr 2013) Golden amber colour with foamy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of citrus, apricots and dried fruit. Malty, fruity taste with bready malt, apricots and a generous grassy bitterness in a fairly dry finish. Medium body, starts with a certain malt sweetness and dries out towards the end. Well balanced and quite nice.

Lightly hazed golden amber with a thin white head that veers edgeward.
Nose is pale malts, orange, grass, touch of spice.
Taste comprises malts, citrus, grass, berry fruits, spice, touch of hops.
Medium in body with moderate carbonation, some bitterness in the finish.
Perfectly drinkable but not doing a lot to interest me !
File under ’W’ !

Cask Conditioned handpump Harp London. (One of my twelve lost (for now) notes, so this is as well as I remember). I seem to recall this was copper amber but in any case was fullbodied and reasonably fruity. Bit of alcohol warmth and a good bittersweet balance. Tasty.
