Bottle from Coppers in Newcastle. Copper coloured with caramel and toffee flavours and a bitter and creamy finish.

50cl bottle picked up in Hastings. Amber with a loose cream head and moderate carbonation; the aroma has malts and caramel - almost candy floss; the flavour has barley sugar at first the some clean Kentish hops giving a pleasant bitterness, and then finally a hint of citrus.

Bottle. Amber beer with a strong head. The aroma is hopped and yeasty, and the flavour is smooth, hopped and lightly bitter with a long dry finish. Overall a nice English bitter.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2011 Cask conditioned handpump Barley Mow Brighton. A dark brown beer with a whitish head and lace. A very dry earthy bitter. Fruity and leafy aroma. Fairly bitter and pretty ordinary. Score 2.8

Cask at Peterborough beer fest. Alround rating: A good balanced bitter, grassy citrus hops, biscuity malts.

Bottle at Chris_O’s 19th April 2008 tasting. Pours copper with a big white head. Hoppy but with some malty balance. Soft, average palate.

Pale amber with a slight white head. Reasonable balance, delicate hoppage / caramel / malt. Dry-ish finish. So so.

Cask at GBBF 2007. An amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, leading to a dry bitter and nutty finish.

Dark golden with a small white head. Malty, toasty aroma, some munich malt? Dry and malty flavour with grassy hop notes.

Clearish amber pour with a strong toasty nose along with honeyed herbs. Biscuity flavour evolution, rather sweet and with simplistic golding hops that are all out flowery. Medium-bodied, fair carbonation. Dry palate from the malts more than the hops. Fair.
