Kent Beer Fest, The Cow Shed, Canterbury. Gentle coffee accented mild. Nicely done with a decent body. Good.

A Mes rate: Cask at Chelmsford Beer Festival. Mid red brown colour. Slightly sulphuric aroma, mellow mild nose otherwise. Flavour is quite hoppy for a mild. Light chocolate notes and some dark fruit with an unusual yet very tasty coffee hop finish. Very slighty sticky mouthfeel. Unusual for a mild. Solid if not outstanding, love the finish though.

Cask gravity at Rare Breeds BF 2007. Very deep brown with thin beige head. Some really nice dark fruits and choc/coffee. Easy drinking mild with enough mouthfeel to be interesting, good hop and dryness on end. Bit grainy too. 3.2/5.0 Re-rate cask handpull at the Swan Inn Wittersham, Kent. Beautiful colour with lasting fluffy cream head. Lovely choc flavour in the middle of the swallow. Excellent mouthfeel, bit grainy and a very good finish that makes you want to try it again. Minimal hop presence emphasises the mild impact.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel Northampton. A dark brown coloured mild with a black hue, a beige head and lacing. The aroma is dry and nutty with some roasted malt. The taste is dry and mellow. Some coffee and some nuts, and caramel flavours. On the whole though the dryness dominates.
