2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 DanielBrown (2586) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUN 23, 2011
Hand pulled at the Harp, Covent Garden. Very disappointed with this, and can’t decide whether it was hamstrung by the condition. A plainish Mild, without enough flavour (or anything) to compensate for the artificial plastic notes which emerge, especially on the finish.

15th July 2010. Chelmsford Beer Festival. Clear dark brown beer. No head. Dry palate. A dash of sulphur lingering in the undertone. A little porterish - dark malt but a light presence thereof. Some tangy hop. Dry finish. Okay.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 chriso (7062) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2010
Cask (gravity dispense) at the Great British Beer Festival Day 2, August 2009. One of those beers that I was sure I had rated before but turned out I hadn’t, so notes are rather scant. Very dark brown colour, but the emphasis is more on toffee and caramel malt than roastiness. Decent enough. Flagged for re-rate for a more thorough assessment.

Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Roasty malts, fairly thin, earthy sweetness, hay like hop character. An interesting and different mild due to the earthy character.
