Courtesy my Secret Santa. Thank you, sir. Meh. I was expecting a lot more from a beer calling itself a hop bomb from the west coast. Aroma was OK. Piney hops and and sticky malt. Pour was a nice burnt orange with a one finger off white head. Taste was sticky and green with the pine and grapefruit hops very muted and muddled with a weird flat ginger ale flavor. Hard to explain. Nice carbonation. Definitely drinkable but there’s a lot better out there.

On tap. Hazy orange-amber with a lasting covering of creamy roam. Aroma is pineapple, toffee, resin, evergreen and dank herb. Tastes of a great blend of the same. Medium body is well balanced, has low-average carbonation and is dangerously sessionable with no hint of the abv.

Very disappointing for a double ipa out of San Diego. Even at 94 ibu’s the malts are overwhelming. Like somebody said before me, very "pedestrian"

Tasty, fruit-forward IPA. Not necessarily lots of citrus, though; mainly melon, cantaloupe and pear. Lightly spiced, grassy and floral. Balanced. Smooth bitterness. Big alcohol is hidden well.

Pours a golden yellow with no head. Aroma of malt and bitter hops. Taste is malty and bitter, well balanced. Smooth and solid ipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice fruity hop aroma - melon, lemony, pine but a bit subdued. Surprising light bodied beer for a double IPA. Finished very dry. Alcohol well hidden, but a bit too sweet. Not a bad offering

Draft @ the brewery. Pours a pale amber color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty piney hoppy grapefruit aroma. Fruity malty piney hoppy bitter flavor. Has a fruity malty piney hoppy bitter finish.

14 karat hazy honey pour with a small eggshell head. Hint of grapefruit, subtle lemongrass, touch of orange peel, and bit of tangerine flesh. More caramel, toffee, brown sugar, and candied citrus than expected. Wanted bitter, got moderate sweetness. Average at best.

The good: inviting citrus-hop aroma; classic pour with a nice head and copper color; substantial mouthfeel; taste begins with good malty backbone. The "it depends on what you're looking for": bitter bomb extraordinaire, coming on soon after the first sip, and not letting go. If you want bitter, this is your beer! I find it just a bit unbalanced, tho: bitter is good, but it shouldn't be 98% of the beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2013 The brew is a bit subdued. It smells good, but the taste doesn?t follow through. Nice appearance, good mouthfeel and carbonation. I guess with a name like Hop Therapy I expected a bit more.

Pours a dark orange / red. The aroma of hops is there but not really pungent. Kind of strong. I preferred the Eraser much more.
