2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Explosively airy without respite. A big pile of sudsy foam stands tall. The beer drinks with a big, chewy, caramel malt front door. The hoppy back door is earthen, reminiscent of furniture polish. A bit rough, pardon the pun. (#5934, 2/27/2015)

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
July 10th, 2013 - The next beer on the sampler line-up from Rough Draft is a quick acceleration up to an imperial ale - Rough Draftís Hop Therapy IIPA. Itís a dark, golden beer with a heavy haze, but it shines in the light with a sunny yellow yolk, unencumbered by much of a head or foam on the glass. The bouquet is just that, a collection of flowers, glazed with the scent of simple syrup and an accent of grapefruit bitterness. The flavor is oddly more savory, like french fries or other fried foods, but bittered with more of the flavor found in the grapefruit and the hops. Itís an interesting taste, and well worth a few sips, but a full pint would be a bit too much to handle.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at the Aces & Ales Winter Beer Fest on 01/17/2015. The beer is a slightly cloudy amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit, piney hops and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of citrusy hops, pine and grainy malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a resiny hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This beer surprised me it had an intense floral nose with a strong balanced bitterness for a clean smooth finish. On the bottle it says they used Galaxy and Summer hops which give it the tropical flavors of passion fruit and pineapple. Definitely seek out! Cheers!!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
One of my favorite styles, but a bit meh for me. Nice juicy citrus notes, light tropical fruit and hop notes play off bready and grainy malt notes. The middle is overly malty sweet with grainy notes and light citrus and fruit flavours. The finish has solid bitterness and mild resin notes but overly boozy. The mouthfeel is watery almost and takes away from the brew.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear golden amber, foamy white head with good retention, lacing. Aroma is citrus, resin, nuts, bread, and grass. Taste is abundantly citrus and floral, finishing bitter and astringent. Lighter body than one would expect for a Double IPA. Average carbonation, slightly sticky texture, lingering finish. Very nice for hop lovers.
