Our Amber Ale is a deep, copper ale with rich notes of caramel balanced with a hop finish, making it a great all-around beer that pairs well with roasted meats or a favorite sandwich. Round Barn beer is bottle conditioned, decant into a pint glass before drinking for the best taste experience.

Thanks to Dad. Decent everyday amber ale. Caramel flavors but not richly so, some hops but not hoppy by any means. Easy drinking. Serving: Bottle

UPDATED: SEP 20, 2012 On tap at Round barn tasting room Union Pier. Deep amber with a thin tan head that fades away slowly. Aroma of unmalted barley, cereal grains and caramel. Taste of light caramel, sweet malt, light maple and very light bitterness.

Clear amber with a quickly dissipating tan head. Aroma is sweet and earthy with plenty of caramel, toffee, grains, some bready malt and light hoppy undertones. Taste’s a bit funky at first with some sourness to it. The caramel then takes over and coasts my mouth on the finish. Mild bitterness and mostly just mildly sweet caramel and fairly tasteless hops.

Sample at round barn brewery. Smells nutty and hoppy. Moderate-easy drinking. small lace, medium mouth feel, too hoppy for style, okay, slightly sweet. Would have again, but no session brew

Bottle. A clear amber color body with a soapy offwhite head, lots of jagged lacing left behind ,light carbonation . Aroma is of earthy dry malt , biscut and spicy hops . Flavor of caramel malt , dark fruit and spicy hops, no apparent sweetness , pretty strait forward , medium bitterness for a amber, light body , slick mouthfeel with a slightly dry hoppy finish . Quite sessionable and a very good amber .

12oz Bottle. Thanks Sean! Boozy, sulfite-warmed caramel and malt, with some slight apple cider oxidation. Pours a very clear even reddish-amber, with a frothy off-white head. Thin, slightly infected, styrofoam. A bit acrid. Malts are thin and there’s a very strong bitterness. Some higher alcohols and maybe British esters. This is underwhelming and does not invite me to drink it. Some very dusty old hop notes pull out the back.
