3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Very high carbonation upon opening. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Dense foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of caramel, toast, brown bread, pear, apple, herbal, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Okay aromas with solid balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, earthy hop, and fruity yeast ester notes; with decent strength. A bit too fruity, but has some solid malt presence. Taste of caramel, toast, toffee, brown bread, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pear/apple, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, toffee, brown bread, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pear/apple, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and robustness of dark/bready malt, earthy hop, and yeast ester flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. I swirled out most of the overcarbonation; which lead to a medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a very solid English bitter style. All around good balance and robustness of dark/bready malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. Other than the over-carbonation and overly fruity aromas; this turned out to be quite enjoyable.

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Pours with an uncontrollable head. No matter how I tried pouring it, the soapy head kept expanding. Smells of green apple - which I am slightly confused at. I get apple in the taste mixed with a bit of caramel - but not like a caramel apple. Malt at end. Something seems off on this. I might just end up using this for cooking. I do not think I will buy this brewery again. Googled apple taste online and it sounds like this is a rookie brewer that didnít complete fermentation.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
12oz bottle. Seems like somewhere under the MASSIVE infection, there is a pretty mundane English ale. As it is, it smells like brett..in a bad way. It exploded when opened. If you sell a horrible product like this, you should be ashamed. I will never buy another Round Barn beer. Shabby US microbrew at its worst.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
This is a strange beer. I think something may be awry but it is kind of good regardless. It pours a hazed orange color w/ a big, long-lasting white head of foam. It smells strongly of apples and is a bit earthy and grassy as well. I am fairly sure this bottle is either infected w/ some very fruity yeast or these guys really, really need to put some money into temperature control for their fermenters. (There is a ring around the neck of the bottle which points strongly to infection.) This is pretty much in Belgian territory as far as fruity yeast character once you taste it--though it veers more towards apple and cherry as opposed to banana and spice. It is a bit sweet, medium bodied and very definitely overcarbonated. It finishes w/ lingering fruit on the tongue. Really, I have no idea what this is supposed to taste like. It tastes like an apple bomb but there is something about this that strikes me as entirely unintentional. Still, it does not taste foul at all so I have to give it some credit.

Bottle. Pours copper color with a white fluffy head. Mild caramel aroma. Flavor is mild caramel with a bit of biter. Some bitter in the mouth feel. Ok beer, but I donít feel anything special. Pretty average. Similar to the other Round Barn beers Iíve tried.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a reddish amber color with a medium off white head. Aroma of caramel malts and medium herbal hops, touches of iced tea and toffee. Flavor of toasted malts, caramel, toffee, subtle hop bitterness. Bits of herbal notes. Medium bodied. Fairly solid though unspectacular.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a hazy rust color with about a finger worth of rocky beige head that settles to a ring and leaves some soapy lace behind. Nose involves mostly caramel, some cellar notes, herbal tea hops, and date bread. Some sweetness but more bitterness and a light tartness. Medium-light body, oily, actively carbed, with a bitter herbal tea finish. A decent brew, but not incredibly interesting.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Minimal aroma, light carbonation, bland flavor that at best can be described as "dry". Bitterness is muted. This is one i wonít buy again.
