COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bobís your uncle is an easy drinking session beer that is light in body and mouth feel. There is a light caramel maltiness and very soft hop bitterness. The hop flavor is pronounced, more so than a standard premium bitters, but the aroma is spot on and distinctly British. (ABV 4.80%)

Available in growlers at our Baroda & Union Pier Tasting Rooms

A clean finishing brew not your typical ESB but like most round barn products a nice take on the style with mild bitterness

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Very high carbonation upon opening. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Dense foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of caramel, toast, brown bread, pear, apple, herbal, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Okay aromas with solid balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, earthy hop, and fruity yeast ester notes; with decent strength. A bit too fruity, but has some solid malt presence. Taste of caramel, toast, toffee, brown bread, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pear/apple, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, toffee, brown bread, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pear/apple, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and robustness of dark/bready malt, earthy hop, and yeast ester flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. I swirled out most of the overcarbonation; which lead to a medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a very solid English bitter style. All around good balance and robustness of dark/bready malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. Other than the over-carbonation and overly fruity aromas; this turned out to be quite enjoyable.

Bottle: The aroma consists of light caramel and some faint toasty herbal notes. It pours a mostly transparent amber with a touch of haze. It has a two finger off-white head that quickly settles in to a soapy film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. There is some sporadic webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of caramel with just a hint of fruit. The finish has some light toasty herbal notes and a touch of nuttiness.

Tap and Growler: Clean glowing light amber hue with a fading frothy head and spotty lace upon the pint glass. The aroma has notes of grassy and herbal hops, some apple and pear esters, biscuit, crystal and slight butterscotch vapours, hint of mineral water too. The taste displays a light to moderate bitterness over a layer of base and sweet malts with a hint of earthiness and slight fruitiness. Pretty one dimensional and straight forward but clean enough to be quaffable. A nice enough bitter that would be best served on a handpull.

Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Clear amber/brown brew with two fingers of fairly dense head. A small measure of sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Light aroma of caramel malt and a little toast. Taste is caramel at the start with a little nuttiness emerging towards the finish and finally a slight bit of hops to slake the sweet malts at the very end. Overall light in body and easy to drink. Well crafted with no negatives.

Pours a hazy rust color with about a finger worth of rocky beige head that settles to a ring and leaves some soapy lace behind. Nose involves mostly caramel, some cellar notes, herbal tea hops, and date bread. Some sweetness but more bitterness and a light tartness. Medium-light body, oily, actively carbed, with a bitter herbal tea finish. A decent brew, but not incredibly interesting.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a reddish amber color with a medium off white head. Aroma of caramel malts and medium herbal hops, touches of iced tea and toffee. Flavor of toasted malts, caramel, toffee, subtle hop bitterness. Bits of herbal notes. Medium bodied. Fairly solid though unspectacular.

Bottle. Pours copper color with a white fluffy head. Mild caramel aroma. Flavor is mild caramel with a bit of biter. Some bitter in the mouth feel. Ok beer, but I donít feel anything special. Pretty average. Similar to the other Round Barn beers Iíve tried.

Shared from growler. Really nothing terrible special here, but its a fairly basic bitter/amber. Poured with a light cream head, and a medium-light amber body. The aroma is hazy with nutty caramels, cereal malt grains, and some citrus. The feel is decently bitter, slightly off, and lightly carbonated. Grainy caramels, herbs, and lemony citrus hop muddle together in the flavor. Pretty alright.
