| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 11, 2009 MiBGWF 2009: Reddish brown and a small lasting beige head. The aroma has notes of cherry, walnut, milk chocolate, roasted malt, and dusty yeast esters. The taste starts twangy and fruity but the porter base is very noticeable with a caramel, chocolate, nutty, and toasty overtone. The finish is a tad short. The mouth feel is sprite and clean, refreshing but a bit too carbonated. Not too shabby and strikes a good balance between fruit and porter. RAYBOY01 (1829), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 19, 2009 Dark brown pour with tan head. The nose is moderately rosty barley malt and tart cherries. The flavors are caramel, toffee, chocolate, tart cherries, and roasted barley malt. Light hop bitterness as it warms. A bit over-carbonated and too thin and spritzy for the style.
