Dark murky coppery pour, white head. The nose is light grassiness, just a hint of lactic sourness. The flavor is fruity, grassy, lightly roasted caramel malt...with a very spritzy carbonation. Pretty decent attempt at the style.

This was my favorite of the three Round Barns that I have tried. This one has a nice warming winter feel.

pre dark lord party. pours cloudy brown. just a couple bubbles on top. sniffs slightly sour, but mostly air. flavor is some kind of fruitiness, other than that, i dunno. medium bodied. a bit too ephemeral for someone as befuddled as me.

Thanks to <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?UserID=7 for a generous hit from his bomber. Pours kind of a murky caramel body with a modest off-white head. Good lacing. The aroma is softly sweet with toffee & caramel, some orchard fruit, perhaps some clove, and a bit of brown sugar with a light herbal/grassy hoppiness balancing it out. Some wheat flavor shows up in the flavor, smoothly blended with the elements reflected in the nose. Soft and refreshing drink.

Bottle from BBB63. Pours dark dark brown copper with a 2 finger tan head. Nose is sweet and full of caramel. Taste is sweet, caramely and a little spiced with i’ll agree some clove. This is an interesting beer. Thanks Mike.

750ml corked bottle and served in my Aventinus glass: A slightly muddled brown with a huge off-white frothy and good lace. The aroma has notes of caramel and toffee, slight smoke, red wheat, herbal hops, light pear and tangerine esters, clove and a nice earthy yeast nose. The taste starts malty and fruity with a moderate wheat overtone throughout. The finish display a light bitterness and acidity along with some clove. The mouth feel is sprite and refreshing but could use some more body. A solid brew but the weizen aspect of the beer seems a bit overpowered. Perhaps better German yeast would help here.
