2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light bodied murky brown ale, with earthy, cocoa and dry fruit flavors coming through. My palate couldnít bring the competing flavors together, understood the concept but the sum of the parts was never cohesive for me.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Tattooed Mom. Dark orange brown with a slight foamy head that disappeared completely. Supposedly an answer to the Philly local Yards Brawler (which is a decent dry brown ale.) This one has a glossier edge. Mild malt flavors. Sweeter than the Yards but not nearly as sweet as many traditional brown ales (i.e. Newcastle.) Some fruitier red fruit notes here. Fuller in flavor than most brown ales, but thinner in body. Some bright notes. Nothing offensive. Nice enough for a session beer, but the Brawler is better.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light caramel in color. Caramel malts, toasty, chocolate, and a bit of dark fruit. Medium bodied. Not a lot here but itís tasty enough and easy going. Supposedly an altered version of their Yards Brawler clone that got second place in a Yards homebrew contest, which they made when just homebrewers.
