Copper colored English style session ale with a mild malt aroma and a slight toasted malt flavor. Overall, a light-flavored, malt accented beer that is refreshing, yet flavorful

Can. Pours a clear amber body under a very large frothy beige head that took forever to recede. The nose is lightly toasty, fairly dry, a bit of nuttiness, some light chocolate, and just a hint of hops. The flavor is on the drier side, with some toasty maltiness and just a hint of bitterness on the back end. Itís actually a fairly decent Mild up front, but there is a slight twang underneath the malt that makes me think there might be a touch of infection in here. It certainly hasnít taken hold full force quite yet, but it was probably good that I didnít let this guy sit around. Light bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Not a big fan of this one, I will have to give this another shot sometime.

Brackish brown body, medium to thin pale tan head, spotty lacing. Mild I fection as there is some tart green apple qualities that cannot be intentional. Otherwise, toffee, caramel, brown bread, and nutiness. Medium to thin bodied, slick carbonation, smooth finish.

Can. Nose is nutty and strongly fruity over a roasty base with preliminary hints of nice char. Some yeast character, too. Heat is dense-foamy as if poured with nitrogen, jiggles like Orval, that over a rich, beautiful deep brown. Medium body, lightly tart and even a touch acrid, low bitterness with rounded grain and light toasted character; slightly nutty, fruit toned down, and only semi-sweet. Just a touch of char. Malt accents, hops donít stand out, just a short tip of the balance toward M. Flavor seems a bit watery with volume, but then again, thereís a point to it -- really nailed the session factor.

Draft at beer fest. Pours clear copper with a small white head. The aroma has some coffee beans. The taste is light coffee and tons of water.

12 oz bottle. It pours a very dark orange/brown color with a towering, fizzy tan head that takes up most of the glass. I was worried about infection with the size of the head. The aroma is very volatile with some dried leaves, apple, cocoa. The flavor is roasted with some mild coffee and tart apple notes. It froths up majorly in the mouth. Kind of unpleasant.

Pours chestnut with a thin off white head. Aroma has chocolate, dry leaves, and earthy hops. Flavor follows suit and adds some toasty caramely notes. Mouthfeel is light and silky and the finish is earthy/roasty with a hint of chocolate.

Firkin at Real Ale. Cloudy reddish amber with thin beige head. Notes of sweet and lightly roasted dark malts. Ok

Light bodied murky brown ale, with earthy, cocoa and dry fruit flavors coming through. My palate couldnít bring the competing flavors together, understood the concept but the sum of the parts was never cohesive for me.

Draft at Blue Dog Lansdale and Caponeís. Pours copper with minimal off-white head. Nose was roasty malt, mild hops, fruit. Tastes malty, with subdued hops, mild fruit, and mild earthy flavor hints in the finish.
