COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American wheat beer made with fresh pressed ginger, McCormack honey (Aliquippa) and lemon. A delightfully refreshing summer wheat beer best consumed while wasting the summer days where ever you like. This beer was inspired by a ginger lager brewed in Dyana’s home town of Christchurch, New Zealand. The Dux de Lux created a beautifully refreshing beverage served best during the summer season out on the patio next to the famous Arts Centre. Unfortunately, earthquakes in Sept 2010 and Feb 2011 claimed both the Dux and Arts Centre. So we would like to carry on the tradition of a good hard ginger beer. Nothing like ginger ale, or an English/Jamaican ginger beer.

Pours dirty yellow with a nice head that sticks to the side on the way down. There is little nose when cold but as it warms there is a bit of fresh cut grass and yeast. There is lemon and just a hint of honey. I can detect no ginger. There is zero hop bitter here. the finish is quick and pleasant. Another nice offering from a young brewery.

Pours a cloudy hay like color with a dissipating head that thins out. The aroma is of a lemon citrus with a mild to medium intensity of ginger, subtle wheat, and a sugary additive. While tasting I noticed the ginger wheat blend with a minor acidic citrus. There seems to be a semi bitter sweetness to this brew. It reminds me remotely of tea with a drop of honey that finishes off with a menthol like taste. Overall a solid drinkable and flavorful beverage.

Growler from the brewery. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a thick white head. Aroma of ginger, flowers, lemon, citrus, bready malt. Flavor of ginger followed by lemon, peppery spices, flowers, and bitter ginger with bready malts in the finish. An interesting take on a wheat beer and it’s not too overpowered by the ginger. It goes down easy on a warm spring or summer day. 7/4/7/4/14 [3.6/5]

Sampled this at Campground Brewdown 2. Pours a hazed gold with a thin white head. Big ginger, clean. Smells like gari, beautiful and full of ginger. Sweetness into more ginger, wheat, soft ginger, lightly spicy. Very nice.

This poured a a slightly hazy yellow color with a white head. Aroma was of ginger and lemon mainly, with light wheaty grain in there too. Flavor was similar, ginger and lemon were definitely there, but not overpowering which at least makes this drinkable. Done well, just not a huge fan of ginger.

Pours a cloudy pale yellow. Aroma is ginger and honey. Effervescent and sweet without being overpowering.
