Unfortunately someone bought a bottle of this (and also of Blanche de Brabant which I assume is a bit less awful). It is sick to even think of a beverage so sweet and syrupy, but when the project is the same lying between the Timmermans brand, you have minimum surprise. One of the worst Belgian ales ever tasted; the various Leffes, Affligems, etc are all drinkable in a way or another. This is pretty like bad medicine. Avoid at all costs.

75cl Bottle, courtesy of Wim. Amber coloured beer with some medium carbonation and a medium off white head. Herby sweet hinted aroma with some touches of sweet fruits and malts. Full light palate. Finish is rather light again almost watery with some sweet malty hints. Rather medium.

Bottle, bought @ the webshop. Pours clear amber with a small, frothy, off-white head. Aroma has caramel, red apples, grainy. Medium carbonation, dry and light grainy mouthfeel. Flavour has caramel, mild raspberry, light cellar. Light metal. Simple.

Pours semi transparent brown with red tints and a thick off white head. The nose is spicy smelling. Some cloves, nutmeg, ginger but also some lacto sour notes as well. The taste is very low sweetness with medium bitterness that hangs on through the long finish. The mouthfeel is crisp and clean and the body is medium. Not the best but I've had much worse. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
