afireinside96 (387), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 19, 2008 On tap at Capone’s. Clear golden color with a small white head. Smells and tastes like a standard golden lager with just a hint of watermelon showing up to let you know that it is there. Nicely balanced, not too sweet, not too much fruit. Very refreshing. DocLock (4083), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 22, 2008 Draft at Capone’s. Pours cloudy dark straw to orangy with off-white head and some pink edges. Nose is pale malt, freshly cut watermelon. Tastes fruity, with a nice watermelon flavor plus a solid amount of malt and backup hops. It gets a tad cloying toward the end and the watermelon seems to lose intensity as it warms, but this one was a very unique style, and I believe the first watermelon lager I’ve ever had. Hughes88 (1), , Pennsylvania, USA does not count Jul 11, 2008 Draft at Market Cross: I was a little scared of the fruit - especially watermelon, but I thought it was refershing a crisp without being watermeloned to death. Had two pints and would likely order it wherever I go if it’s offered. New brewery with potential. checkmatei1 (239), Willow Grove, USA Jun 30, 2008 Draft @ Capones: Poured a golden yellow with small thin white head. The aroma was some watermelon, malts and barley. Nothing overpowering. The flavor was initially of ’real’ watermelons and left me with a flavor of a watered down lager. Overall, a tasty brew, but not good enough for me to write home about it. Miver (367), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 30, 2008 On tap at Capones. Poured gold in color with a small beige ring of head. Aroma was of strong earthy watermelon. The aroma of watermelon In general I don’t find very pleasant so I was a bit scared to try this. Tastes of watermelon and lager if you can imagine that. The taste is a little earthy, but fruity with watermelon. I found this quite refreshing and much better than I expected. New brewery stepping out of the box. Kudos.
