No 661 Rated 31.12.2008 Bottle brown, 330 ml, Appearance pours beautiful dark golden body colour, quite clear texture, quite vivid carbonation, head is initially big, slowly decreasing to medium, frothy, quite thick, snowy white, leaving nice lacing, Aroma front is sweet yeasty with notes of corn syrup and gentle alcoholic note, mineral notes, rather clean but sugary and slightly rusty, notes of whippped cream reminding some other Belgian Pale Lagers, but non sophisticated, Flavour quite easily noticeable adjuncts, especially corn and corn syrup, moderately alcoholic in flavour with a gentle alcoholic warmth, nice saltyness which makes the beer more pleasant and not dull, some sandy and rough texture on palate with dusty notes, but finish is quite clean and short in duration, low hoppyness, Palate body is light, texture is wattery, carbonation on palate is moderate, nice saltyness, gentle accidity, gentle alcohol and some sandy roughness at finish

500ml can shared at Finn’s in Tromsø. The head is white as chalk. Golden body with good clarity. Vague smell of sweet fruits. Shortage of taste - only a few hints of grass. Medium palate and soft carbonation (21.10.2008).

Can, 4.7% for Finnish markets. Very basic pale lager. Not much aroma. Very easy to drink.

From notes alone. Tasted December ’07
’Fresh mown grass, damp hay and a little lemon cordial on the nose. Huge bubbles, adhere to the glass for a short breath before rising up towards a flat and lifeless, white, sudsy head that does manage to stay afloat. Quite sweet, a mild hint of honey and woodsap upfront. Lemon myrtle and palest grain husks midpalate; a little toothpick wood finishes it off with some muddled, sour malt and hops. Its very short, crisp, nothing too alarming. Body is light, the carbonation not too harsh though it is gassy in the stomach. A hint of grass builds. Very little bitterness, yet it is quite balanced. A decent Euro-lager.’ (13/01/08, 33cL, Con’s Liquor Bibra Lake)

Can. Dark yellow, small white head. Aroma of fruity yeast and some hops. Quite spicy. Taste ok - nothing special though. Finish is long.

500ml can (K Market)
Amazingly vile aroma, reminisent of vicks chest rub. Straw coloured. Weak watery body. Ghastly grassy palate. Metallic hops. Rusty piss. My mouth tastes metallic now. I’ve got what appears to be a permanent sneering grimace on my face now too. Can’t say any more without swearing.
