The first in the series of Royal beers from Ceres. An ok beer. Has a pale golden color and a quickly disappearing head. A taste of hops and honey

Pretty standard lager--ice-cold at a Copenhagen 7-Eleven, it was notably more malty than hoppy, with a metallic lasting finish. Not wholly unpleasant, but not quite on the level of the Maes that the logo and type reminded me of.

Ljusgul med liten vit krona. Söt maltig brödig doft. Tämligen söt smak utan större överasknkngar. Inga felsmaker men inte heller särskilt spännande. En klassisk ljus lager

Clear pale gold, white head. Non roasted malts, hint of honey and caramel, cereals. Malty caramel and honey also in mouth with a particular bitterish aftertaste.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2014 500ml can served in a chalice. A: Pours pale golden color forming a big white head. Retention is low and only few lacings are left S: Poor on the nose. Smells like plastic, corn, sweet malts, Lager yeasts and bit citrus hops. T: Sweet malts, corn (a killer), yeasts and some citrus hops in the end. M: Light body. High carbonation. Mild bitter end. O: Low drinkability. No big deal as expected. [ BA Review @ 5/11/2012 ]

DruncanVeasey (7318) - NUNEATON, CONF N, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2014
UPDATED: AUG 29, 2014 5.6%. 1000ml drum in Cyprus. Dark gold tufted high with collapsing suds and tentative wisps of lace. Appealing faint sesame, shrub, Madeira cake, honey aroma in the Munchen ballpark. Decent chunky sweet lemon cake and rubber strong lager with engaging sesame aspects bespeaking deeper complexity and foaming, chestnut-shaded steins. Not the utter shite I was expecting. Somewhat syruped and yet light and lemony with it. Peanut traces. Fuller malt than the crap macro lagers I’ve become accustomed to. Sound. Tasty, even.
