drfabulous (738), Columbia, Missouri, USA Sep 1, 2007 From what I remember, this was a decent, high alcohol beer that had a good malty taste. A pity that they only did a little bit for a little while. ogglethorp (800), Ohio, USA Mar 14, 2007 MI BG Winterfest. Pours a ruby-brown color with a decent sized off white head. Aroma is sweet caramel malt, hint of floral hops, dried fruit. Flavor is sweet malts, dried fruits, spicy rye. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, slightly bitter finish. Nice. Tmoney99 (3620), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Apr 3, 2006 Draft sample at MBG Winterfestunder the name "10". Poured a reddish brown color with a moderate off-white rocky head. Heavy hoppy sweet malt aroma. Full sweet malt bourbon flavor with a long hoppy bitter finish. Very interesting brew. Pailhead (2323), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Oct 28, 2005 On tap: Aroma of fruit, toffee, and caramel. Pours a dark reddish-brown with no transparency, but that could be due to lighting. Nice off-white head. Fruity up front with grape. Nice caramel presence. Finishes somewhat acidic with a hint of raspberry tartness. Alcohol is masked very well. Light citrus hops in the finish. redmosquito (172), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA Oct 27, 2005 Great looking beer, deep reddish brown with a light off white head. Rich malt aroma, very little hop aroma, but great complexity with the malt, chocolate, nutty munich, sweet raisoney caramel. Good malty flavor, not too sweet, but the complexity from the malt is there in a smooth balanced package. Good mouthfeel, light carbonation (as served) but nice for the type of the beer. This is the type of beer you want to serve at your 10th anniversary party, well done.
