Bottle. Had in Italy under the label Ceres Strong Ale. Strong corn/metallic nose. Surprising lacing that stuck on the glass like glue. There is some alcohol burn to this, but not as much as you’d expect for an ABV this high. A hearty quaff that sticks to your ribs.

Alengrin (1296) - BELGIUM - AUG 2, 2014
Tasted as Ceres Strong Ale Export in Italy. Not an ale but a strong lager with snow white head and golden colour; malt adjuncts in the nose as well as pale malts, grassy hoppiness, noticeable alcohol. Taste sweetish, grainy with warm alcohol and some grassy hops in the finish. Cheap alcoholic beer.

Marketed as Ceres Dortmunder Dansk Luxus Øl ekstra staerk pilsner, much more attractive design than the bottle pictured here, and based on the abyssmal ratings I question if it’s truly just an alias. Poured from tallboy can into snifter glasses, thanks John! Clear golden amber colour with long-lasting white foam and lots of lace. Aromas of sweet grains, faint noble hops and alcohol. Cleaner than usual flavor compared to other harsh high-gravity lagers, very well concealed alcohol, some oxidation and metallic notes but no deep flaws. Tasty enough and definitely capable of getting you drunk fast, but not exactly delicious.

Birra meno che discreta, della quale sarebbe un complimento dire che "si fa bere", abbastanza alcolica e maltosa. Dimenticabilissima, e volentieri.

0,5l can. Ceres Dortmunder Dansk Luxus Øl 7,7%. White head, golden brown colour. Metallic smell with a hint of cheese. Sweet flavour, little hops and malt. Anonymous and, despite the high alcohol level, mild... Reminds me of a stale beer... not very pleasant.

Bottle. Suprisingly decent, bought in Italy, pretty hoppy and dry, small head, long palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Off white tall deutschhhh head. Clear golden light body. Aroma; fruits, berries, sweet malts, alcohol. Taste; some bitter, dust, rubber, malts, flatbread, spices. Smooth on palate. Finish warmth, bread, malts, spices, lingering. Overall not bad, but a moderated and better wrapped alcohol could be an improvement.
