Beige head, jet black body, resistant fine lacing. Aroma; bouquet of fruits, dark malts, prunes. Taste; chocolate with prunes, nut sauce, cocoa hops. Well blended and nice on palate. Abv unbelievably well hidden. Dark chocolate in finish. Oh, is it a baltic porter? That may explain how smooth and nice it felt. [33cl can 7.7%abv BB19.11.18 T@höme]

330 ml. can split by 3 @ “Exclusive S&G Tasting: Special guest 77ships”. Obtained in a trade with Dedollewaitor. Dark brown, little mocha head. Thick grainy mocha head, soy sauce, tad roast; Sweet soy mocha, chocolate, grainy feel common to Baltic Porter beers, candy, light hops, instant coffee. Grainy mouth feel as mentioned before. Nothing amazing but solid enough.

Can @ home. Dark brown with a biege head. Nose is sweet and softly roasted with aromas of coffee, chocolate, lots of caramel, some spices and honey. Thin bodied for a 7, 7% baltic porter. Sticky carbonation. Taste is a bit sweet with chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and molasses. Followed by a drier metallic taste along with red fruits, Finishes with a spicy bitterness. Quite good but mouthfeel is too thin for my taste and the aroma isnt complex enough.

Solid black with a nice creamy tan lacy lasting medium head. Smells of deep chocolate, dark berries, molasses, dark malt and raisins. Full creamy oily body. Tastes of deep roast with dark chocolate and a ashy finish. Nice malty character that is easy to drink and keeps me coming back. A bit ashy and dry.

Ceres Stout Bottle. Dark brown pour, with a tan head. Chocolate, quite a lot of roast, and licorice. Fairly sweet. Pretty simple beer, but not bad.

St. Barth Beer No. 10. I was surprised to see this brewery as listed out of business. Must have an extra supply down here in the Antilles. Poured darkest brown with tan head. Scent was heavy on chocolate. Sweet up front with bitter back. Touch thin for style. Bottle - St. Barthelemy, FWI

Street rating from can with Palme in the day 2 entry line, CBC 2014. :-) Tar black body, large creamy light beige head. Nose is roasty grains, licorice, coffee, hints of paper and rye bread. Taste is grainy burnt cereal notes, licorice, burnt sugar and hints of pale malts. Medium body, medium to high carbonation. Feels a bit like a pale lager infused with licorice and coffee extract, but it’s still fairly drinkable.
