Golden with little head. Sweet and not as rich as the blue Ceres X-mas. Little aftertaste.

pivo (2561) - GERMANY - DEC 23, 2003
Sweet musty nose, orangy gold, low frothy head. Warm round maltiness with honey notes. Sweet at end lingers on lips, countered only by a light bitter tinge. Smooth beer, clean palate. Decent. One of the better Danish xmas beers, but still sweeter than I prefer.

YogiBeera (2470) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 16, 2003
Alcohol but weak nose. Light brown-yellow, little layer of a head, soft carbonation. Malty, alcohol, rice are main tastable sources.

A little light coloured for a x-mas. Sweet, hoppy aroma, though with a delicate hint of orange shells. OK balanced brew.

LoveCaissa (873) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 19, 2002
Golden colour, decent white head. Sweet and vaguely hoppy, but somewhat unpleasant aroma. Flavour is quite (too!) sweet and IMHO unbalanced. Low carbonation. An old and afterall easily drinkable Danish Christmas Brew, but try the Blue instead.

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
Mads Langtved (2245) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - NOV 22, 2002
Pretty well-balanced and harmonic. A pretty regulary Danish Christmas brews. Not as heavy and alcoholic as the blue version.

   AROMA 2/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 3/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 5/20
Ungstrup (29223) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 19, 2002
A light amber beer with an OK head though it disappears very quickly. The aroma is sour and like brewing cereal (the beer is partly brewed on corn) - I don’t like the aroma. The flavor is sticky sweet almost like a sodapop but without the gas. It finishes of with a weird bitterness - probably because of the hop used. But the bitterness doesn’t balance the sweetness. Much too sweet for my taste - and therefore not a beer I can recommend.
