COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 2008 for batch # 3,000. This is our version of a Double India Pale Ale. This year we used almost 900 lbs of English pale malt, and over 40 lbs of hops in a 10 barrel batch. A nice golden color with aromas of pine, citrus and some earthy spicy notes. This is what hop lovers dream about. Get hopped up on the sauce.!

Snappy fresh hops, grapefruit, citrus pith, lime zest, some ripe orange flesh. firm bitterness towards finish. Lively, intense, aggressive. One sided and typical for the location and style, but proud of it.

Bottle. Pours a golden orange with a slightly frothy head. Nose is tones of malt and some slight citrus and a mild pine finish. Taste is pretty much the same as the nose. Nothing I’d like to get again unless I can verify the freshness. PLEASE date your DIPA!

Bottle. Pours lightly hazy orange to copper with a large, frothy and bubbly off-white head, medium-long retention with excellent, sticky lacing. Aroma is heavy citrus, pine, floral, and perfume hops with biscuit and meal malt notes, spicy alcohol, and tropical fruity esters. Flavor is moderate floral, citrus, pine, and perfume hops with moderate bitterness leaving a dry palate, large tropical fruity esters and supporting malt. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation.

Great appearance, massive clarity coming out of a glowing yellow and tangerine orange colored beer with a thin egg shell white head to it. Big deep piney aroma, complimented with deep orange citrus .

Many elements of a good West Coast IPA in the hop bouquet...most super citrus. No DIPA common characteristics of full body, alcohol , or real back bone. It had a candy Sweet Tart like taste and chalkiness that wasn’t unpleasant but was fairly different/strange. Glad to try it for sure.

This was a good ipa, but pretty dry, reflecting the 8 %. OK hop aroma. Flavor was nice and bitter. Just seemed pretty typical of a ipa, nothing special, nothing terrible.
