First brewed in 2008 for batch # 3,000. This is our version of a Double India Pale Ale. This year we used almost 900 lbs of English pale malt, and over 40 lbs of hops in a 10 barrel batch. A nice golden color with aromas of pine, citrus and some earthy spicy notes. This is what hop lovers dream about. Get hopped up on the sauce.!

An excellent specimen with a rich golden color and a standing head. Standard aromatics, full nectar weight with a softness on the tongue and good carbonation. This brew is well balanced and sips nicely. A classic brew.

Aromas of sweet, fruity hops w/ a good balance of caramel malt, as well. I knew immediately I wouldn’t be crazy about this beer- too sweet. Flavor is mango, pineapple, more caramel malt. Definitely everything leans toward the sweet side. Not my personal preference when it comes to big IPA’s (I prefer biting bitter) but not a bad beer.

22oz bomber pours clear copper with thin gold edges and a nice quarter inch tall tan head. The aroma offers up some grapefruit, lime and mango and then moves into a good does of spicy somewhat dank hoppy goodness followed by a modest level of sugary sweet malts. It smells like I shouldn’t wait any longer and take a hurried swig. Damn, I’m digging the flavor with big chewy dank spicy hops rimmed with lesser amounts of various citrus notes, some pine hop resin and supported by malt sweetness that’s a couple of notches too sweet. Still, the sweet malts are only a minor nuisance in a sea of fresh rich hoppy goodness. It ends with a pleasingly long bitter hoppy after taste. Good gravy and this bomber is only like $4.50. This kind of effort moves into the Lagunitas realm of great to amazing taste for the money spent. Kudos!! I plan to get more soon, tomorrow actually.

Bottle from beerboxer. Has a nice copper color with a off white head. Has a strong malty taste with a palate wrecking hop finish.

Light brownish pour with a tight white head. The aroma has a touch of malty earthiness, but is dominated by grapefruit and dank hop aroma. There is some light sweetness at first followed by citrus hop flavors. The finish is hugely bitter and piney. Nice beer.

Snappy fresh hops, grapefruit, citrus pith, lime zest, some ripe orange flesh. firm bitterness towards finish. Lively, intense, aggressive. One sided and typical for the location and style, but proud of it.

Bottle. Pours a golden orange with a slightly frothy head. Nose is tones of malt and some slight citrus and a mild pine finish. Taste is pretty much the same as the nose. Nothing I’d like to get again unless I can verify the freshness. PLEASE date your DIPA!
