Bottle. Dark amber in color. Good bitterness. Some sticky citric/pine going on. Moderate bitterness up front along with a little maltiness. Quite well balanced actually. Could be a nice hoppy session IPA.

Itís not often that I rate an IPA higher than itís average, but this one stood out as being a full-flavored, smooth bitter beer. I had it on tap at Lamppost Pizza in Davis. It was the only brew there that I hadnít had in the past. The flavor was citrusy, but very controlled and direct. A very drinkable IPA.

Not sure why I never saw this one before as it appears it must not get wide distribution. From a 22 oz bottle this poured a clear copper with a fat off-white head the left nice lacing rings in my Chimey glass. Nose of caramel malts and citrus hops. Very smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is mild malt and both piney and citrus hops. Long dry bitter finish. Very easy to drink.

Bottle courtesy of DarkElf. Pours copper with a white rocky head. Smells earthy with some nice hints of citrus and sweet malt. Tastes of tea, some pine, earthy with a dry finish.

Appearance: Pours a clear, amber body with a thin, wispy off-white head. Smell: Caramel maltiness with some honeylike hints and scents of citrus and pine. Taste: Caramel malts with a drizzle of honey and a medium level of sweetness. Forward hop flavors of citrus and pine. Moderate hop bitterness. Slightly acidic. Finishes expectantly dry. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Drinkability: Not exactly the most memorable beer around, but itís still a solid representative of the style.
