Golden in color with an assertive hop bitterness. This beer won gold medals at The Great American Beer Festival in 1989 and 1990. A true American Classic.

Hazy bright orange in color with a pale, but bright white head, this has a soapy, somewhat tropical, slightly citrusy hop nose and some possible pilsener malts present. The flavor is grainy, a little reminiscent of a Belgian ale. It has a nice level of hop flavor for the variety, and the body, although thin, still offers a potent mouthfeel that I feel I have to thank the yeast for. Its not your everyday IPA, for certain, and youd likely enjoy it if youre into Belgian pales. Some nice hop flavor makes up for some of the almost unpleasant finishing notes.

Draft from notes. Pine resin hops and bready malt. Very good beer but nothing to go crazy over.

Bottle @ Rubicon. Golden orange pour with a white head. Nose is orange, grapefruit, and floral hops. Some pine, bread, and toasted malt. Not bad. Flavor is decent as well. Moderate bitterness, some grapefruit hop notes, and a touch of orange. A bit more bread forward than Id like, however.

Golden color but hazy with a white foam. Aroma is a mix of citrus, melon, and malt caramel. Hop bitterness is distinctive. Flavors of malt and bread clash with the hop citrus and red fruits. Finish is dry and bitter.

Draft pour clear golden. Nose faint bitter, but not much there. Taste grapefruit bite, hint of pine, but just mostly bitter.

Pours a hazy copper color with a small head. Aroma has some bitterness and fruits like bananas. Taste is unique with almost a Belgian quality to it. Slight bitterness and then some citrus in the backend. Average IPA.

Sweet in the buds at first then nice hopped bitterness. I like this beer because it reminded me of NBBCs Ranger line which is my favorite dept. store brew. A craft beer should stand out from the rest because of the premium price imho, and this beer did not. However, this beer could definitely be a door opener for people who like sweeter beers to turn a new leaf. I will buy this beer again and try others from the company. This beer is brewed from one company and sold by another and craft beer is a delicate process which takes close attention so brewers beware. Regards, AZZJ97

Cloudy orange color with white head. Strangely very little aroma. Taste - Mild grapefruit notes, floral caramel malt and a bit herbal. Its pretty good but not my favorite flavor profile for an IPA.
